We are recruiting for a commercially astute Land Buyer / Manager to support our business’ growth, to be based in our office in Beaconsfield.
You will work on a day-to-day basis alongside the Land Director and the rest of the Management Team, to investigate and appraise suitable sites in London and the South East.
The role is fast moving and sociable, with you liaising with Local Planning Authorities, Estate Agents, Solicitors and Land Owners, to drive through the purchase of sites and the obtaining of detailed planning consents and therefore enable to business to have sufficient sites to operate and grow. You will make recommendations in terms of design and valuation to enable this to happen.
The projects that you will be working on will vary extensively from sites of three houses to schemes of 50 or more units. We also develop schemes to convert offices into apartments. Different types of contract are considered, both unconditional or subject to planning consent, and you will need to look at how sites can be improved to maximise the profitability of sites to the Company.
You will have previous land buying experience within the property sector, preferably within the new build housing sector. Experience of submitting residential planning applications would also be an advantage.
You will be an independent worker with a drive for success, overcoming challenges and supporting the team. You will have the ability to influence decisions using appropriate methods and facts, with proven negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.
A full driving licence is an essential component of the job.
